Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Belgum)

Jane Debode is an expert in the microbiology of growing media in relation to plant health. She is a senior researcher at the Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food  (ILVO) in Belgium. Jane published over 60 peer-reviewed papers and is currently involved in several projects related to microbiology and plant health. Jane is an associate editor for the journal BioControl. In her keynote she will give us an insight into current research on the rhizospheric microbiome for the control of root pathogens in sustainable growing media and the future prospects for its use in horticulture.
